State Police Investigating Assault of a Minor Under 6/ Serious Injury in Gordonville

On January 20, 2026 at midnight, Pennsylvania State Police at Lancaster reported that they responded to a location along Leacock Road in Leacock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for the report of assault of a minor under six years of age with potentially serious injury(ies). The victim was identified as a male from Gordonville. According to the report, obtained by WNUZ the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a ChildLine report disclosing a mother having reported numerous visible bruises on her 1 year old son. The Victim was taken to the hospital where Lancaster County Children and Youth took emergency custody of the Victim. A confession was obtained from the Victim’s father, disclosing having been responsible for having physically abused the Victim out of a state of frustration. The Victim was discharged from the hospital and is listed to be in stable condition. Charges are to be filed.
