Gap, PA (WLRI) – Low Power FM Radio Station WLRI 93FM Newsradio announced today that the non-commercial/ educational, community radio station will begin airing local news reports full time, replacing programming from Global Community Radio (GCR) starting on October 16, 2019 at 12:01 AM. “Our intention is to concentrate our news and information broadcast service to providing twenty-four hour news coverage, seven days a week. Regular segments from: Public News Service, On The Farm Radio, CurrentCast, Bird Note, Mike Cuniberti’s Money Matters and other’s will continue while long form programs (30-60 minutes in length) will be discontinued.”, said Christian McLaughlin, Programming Director. “We hope that our focus on our community’s ongoing events and happenings will help to highlight the services we provide to our community free of charge, while providing our community with content no other outlet cares to provide. “, McLaughlin said.
