On February 25, 2024 at 1:AM Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gap-Newport Pike, PA Route 41. Upon further investigation it was determined that the operator, Male, 45 of Atglen, Pennsylvania was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was subsequently placed into custody. Charges were filed, according to the report.
Lancaster – On July 11, 2023 at approximately 2153 hours, Pennsylvania State Police,
Troop J, Lancaster Station was notified of a crash involving a horse and buggy on Old
Philadelphia Pike just east of Martin Rd, Salisbury Township, Lancaster County. Upon
investigation by Lancaster Patrol Unit, it was determined a 2020 Ford Explorer, being
operated by 41-year-old Bryce TAYLOR, was traveling west on Old Philadelphia Pike.
The horse and buggy were also traveling west on Old Philadelphia Pike just east of
Martin Rd. TAYLOR got distracted looking down at the GPS on his phone and when his
view shifted back to the roadway, he saw the horse and buggy directly in front of him.
TAYLOR braked in attempt to avoid a collision but was unable to slow down in time to
avoid rear ending the buggy. The collision caused the buggy to overturn, which caused
all four occupants to be ejected onto the roadway. All four occupants of the buggy were
transported by EMS to Lancaster General Hospital for their injuries. As of July 12, 2023,
two of the occupants were discharged with minor scrapes and lacerations. The other
two occupants remain at LGH for treatment on their injuries, which consist of possible
broken bones and head injuries.
Lancaster Patrol Unit was assisted on scene by Gordonville Fire and EMS Company,
White Horse Fire and EMS, and Christiana Community Ambulance.
Pocopson Township, PA – On April 23, at 11:00AM troopers from the PSP Avondale Station responded to the 400 block of Hickory Hill Road in Pocopson Township, Chester County, PA for a reported disturbance. The investigation determined Brandon “Bam” Margera, 43 of Thornton, PA was involved in a physical confrontation with the victim, who suffered minor injuries. Margera fled into a wooded area prior to the arrival of PSP and , as of April 24, 2023 has not been located at this time.
An arrest warrant out of District Court 15-3-04 in Kennett Square, PA has been issued for Margera. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact PSP Avondale at the non-emergency number of (610)268-2022.
