The Lancaster Barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police issued a public information report after it was made aware of a scam that occurred on Facebook. Troopers are investigating after Bitcoin valued at $2,800.00 was deposited into what the report identifies as “Bitcoin Depot 2870”. The incident was reported to State Police by the victim, identified in the report as a 75 year old Female resident of Upper Valley Road, Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County.
