On June 20, 2024 at 6:50 P.M. a single vehicle crash occurred on Lincoln Highway, U.S. Route 30 just west of Longview Lane, Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, PA. The vehicle was operated by James G. Dye, 68 of Harrisonburg, VA. Dye’s vehicle was traveling west on U.S. 30 when Dye fell asleep and veered across the center turning lane and into the eastbound lane of U.S. Route 30. The vehicle then hit an embankment on the south side of U.S. Route 30 and continued west, hitting a tree located just west of the the first impact. The vehicle then proceeded to roll over twice through a field before coming to final rest. Dye reported minor injuries and eas transported by EMS. The vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Dye was cited for PA Vehicle Code violations, 3714(a) and VC 3309(1).
