ONGOING INVESTIGATION: VEHICLE FLEEING TRAFFIC STOP BY PA STATE POLICE IN GAP; RUTTER’S PARKING LOT

In the commission of this crime, a traffic stop was completed on December 28, 2025 around 10:30 A.M. in the parking lot of Rutter’s, 5267 Lincoln Highway, Gap, Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, PA. after vehicle code violations were observed. Upon exiting their patrol vehicle to approach the operator, the vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed westbound on U.S. 30, Lincoln Highway. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any relevant information, pictures, videos or whom may have security video of the vehicle fleeing West on U.S. 30 back on 12/28/25 should contact PA State Police. Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) accept anonymous tips regarding active investigations, cold cases, and wanted persons via the 1-800-4PA-TIPS hotline or through their “PSP Tips” Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) pages. Tips can be submitted online without personal information, and the program is designed to help solve crimes using tips from the public.
