A Millersville couple is charged with felony drug-dealing after a search uncovered nearly 900 bags of heroin and several other illegal substances.

Pennsylvania State Police charged Andrew P. Ortiz, 21, and Maria V. Danner, 41, with felony possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and four related misdemeanors.

District Judge Scott Albert arraigned the couple on April 12 and set bail at $500,000 apiece, which was not posted.

Trooper Michael Schatzmann filed charges, which were approved by Assistant District Attorney Barry Goldman.

Following an investigation, state police searched the couple’s North George Street apartment April 11 and found:

– 898 bags of heroin

– 3 grams of cocaine

– 40 grams of marijuana

– 12 Xanax pills

– Drug-packaging/dealing supplies, including scales, baggies, rubber bands and glass pipes

Ortiz and Danner are presumed innocent.
