Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that maintenance is scheduled to begin next week on the Route 372 (Norman Wood) bridge spanning the Susquehanna River and Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks between York and Lancaster counties. Lane restrictions will be in place.

Weather permitting, this work will begin Monday, October 6, and continue through mid-November. Traffic on the bridge will be reduced to a single lane during daylight hours with flaggers providing traffic control.

The work includes concrete overlay, deck patches, and joint repairs.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.

JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA, is the contractor for this work.
