Lancaster County Municipalities (Jan. 2026 Winter Storm)
Several municipalities in Lancaster County declared emergencies, with many parking bans taking effect between Friday afternoon and Saturday:
- Columbia Borough (Effective noon Saturday until further notice)
- Conoy Township (Effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Monday)
- Earl Township (Effective 7 p.m. Saturday until further notice)
- East Earl Township (Effective 11 p.m. Saturday until further notice)
- East Petersburg Borough (Effective 4 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Monday)
- Elizabethtown Borough (Effective 2 p.m. Saturday to noon Wednesday)
- Lancaster City (Effective noon Saturday until further notice)
- Lititz Borough (Effective 2 p.m. Saturday until further notice)
Chester County Municipalities (2026 Winter Storm)
- Caln Township (Effective 6 p.m. Saturday)
- Downingtown Borough (Effective 6 p.m. Saturday)
- Kennett Square Borough (Effective 11 p.m. Saturday)
- Oxford Borough (Effective 6 p.m. Saturday)
- Spring City Borough (Effective 10 a.m. Saturday)
Other Recent Emergency Declarations (2025–2026)
- Chester County (County-wide): Commissioners declared a disaster emergency for the Justice Center due to HVAC failure on July 15, 2025.
- Penn Township (Lancaster County): A disaster emergency was associated with a compost fire at 2022 Mountain Road as of January 3, 2026.
- Mount Joy Borough (Lancaster County): Declared a disaster emergency on July 14, 2025, due to severe flash flooding.
Note: The Pennsylvania Governor, Josh Shapiro signed a statewide Proclamation of Disaster Emergency on January 23, 2026, covering all PA counties, including Lancaster and Chester, for the weekend winter storm.
