King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on Rock Raymond Road in East Brandywine Township, Chester County, and Rock Hill Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County for high-friction resurfacing operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
• Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Rock Raymond Road between Dowlin Forge Road and Hilltop Drive; and
• Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Rock Hill Road between Belmont Avenue and Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of a $4.8 million resurfacing project to improve travel and safety on 25 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, by installing a high-friction surface treatment to provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.
J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.
