This crash occurred at 1298 Furniss Road, Fulton Township, Lancaster County, PA on August 7, 2023 at 10:25 hrs. The roadway is asphalt surfaced and consists of a single lane traveling North and South. The lanes are divided by double yellow lines. Unit 1, 1999 KTM EXXC operated by Kevin Matthew Roesler, 37 of Peach Bottom, PA was traveling North on Furniss RD. The evidence on scene depicts a skid mark in the grass on the western side of the roadway from Unit 1 traveling across the oncoming (southbound) lane of travel. The distance from the edge of the grass to the embankment edge/decline to the creek was approximately 23 feet. Unit 1 then becomes airborne and travels approximately 10 feet down the embankment and coming to final rest in the shallow creek bed. Unit 1 came to final rest on top of Operator 1 facing South. The approximate time of crash is unknown. Operator 1 was discovered deceased. Operator 1 was not wearing a helmet. The Robert Fulton Fire Department assisted on scene. Unit 1 was towed to PSP Lancaster by Lewis Auto and Truck repair.
