Engineering Unit
WNUZ is licensed by the authority of the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D. C. to operate on 92.9 Megahertz with an effective radiated power of 100 Watts. WNUZ is Lancaster County’s only Low Power FM Community Radio Station (LPFM), one of the first generation LP-100 (L1) class stations authorized to operate in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, federally protected by the Local Community Radio Act of 2010, 2012 as amended. WNUZ (WNUZ-LP), in coordination with all of the local municipalities, counties and entities of which our signal may reach, perpetually work to improve upon the broadcast signal, sound and quality of service overall. During our current broadcast license term, WNUZ will continue to plan and prepare to meet the broadcast needs of our community, via the WNUZ Engineering Unit. WNUZ anticipates expanding our service reach on or before 2030, via new translators in remote areas of our community where reception of any station is limited or varied. When community support and volunteers provide the participation, WNUZ will establish facilities in each community without reception at legal levels as per U.S. C.F.R. defines. This unit was created and maintained to serve all electrical engineering functions of FCC licensed broadcast station WNUZ-LP in Gap, PA, and only for that purpose. If you’re intent is to make a point of contact for any other reason than electrical engineering purposes, we advise you refer to the menu, or try using WNUZ.org search to find the closest option to meet your current need(s).
