At 2:57 AM on August 13, 2023 PA State Troopers were patrolling the area of US 222 North in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, PA when they initiated a traffic stop in the area of mile marker 32.2 when a black Volkswagen hatchback failed to move over into the available, non-adjacent lane while passing an active emergency response area of a PSP traffic stop. Troopers located the violator vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the black Volkswagen hatchback for failing to move over. During the traffic stop, the operator was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of controlled and non-prescribed medications. The operator, Ronald Roman, 46 of East Earl, PA was placed under arrest and taken into custody. PSP Lancaster is investigating.
