Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the off-ramp from westbound Route 30 to Route 462/Hallam in York County is scheduled to be closed next week for reconstruction.
Weather permitting, the ramp will be closed from 8:00 PM Sunday, October 5, to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 12. The ramp will be reconstructed as part of a resurfacing project on Route 30.
This project consists of milling, asphalt resurfacing, base repair, concrete paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, guiderail updates, line painting, sign updates, structure repairs and other miscellaneous construction on Route 30 (Arsenal Road) from just west of the Route 462/Hallam Exit to the Wrights Ferry Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River.
Drainage work is currently being performed along the shoulder of eastbound Route 30. This work is being performed at various locations off the roadway and no impacts to traffic are expected.
Structure repairs are underway at Cool Springs Road bridge spanning Route 30. There are shoulder closures on eastbound and westbound Route 30.
Milling and paving on eastbound and west bound Route 30 will take place during the 2026 construction season.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $15,475,000 project.
All work on this contract is expected to be completed by December 21, 2027.
