In the commission of this crime, William Metzinger, 55 of Reading, PA was involved in a 1-vehicle crash as he traveled southbound on North Hollander Road. Metzinger failed to stop and turn at the posted stop sign posted for oncoming traffic onto Ridge Road. The 2007 BMW 5-Series operated by Metzinger continued through the cornfield before hitting a tree and suspected hole with it’s front right passenger side. The exact path of travel after entering the cornfield is unknown. After exiting the cornfield onto North Hollander Road, the vehicle came to a final rest in the berm located west of North Hollander Road, just south of a pole with house number 47 affixed. The arrestee displayed indicators of impairment and was subsequently taken into custody for DUI.

This crash occurred in the area of 1579 Mine Road, Paradise Township, Lancaster County, PA on October 14, 2023 at 8:27 A.M.. Mine Road is a two lane divided highway with a posted speed limit of 30 MPH. The East and West travel lanes are separated by a solid double yellow line. At the scene of the collision, Unit 1 (operated by: Ernest J, GIRVIN, 55, Male of Gap, PA was using Shoulder Belt) was traveling Westbound on Mine Road and attempted to negotiate an S-curve. Unit 1 (2009 Chevrolet Cobolt) was unsuccessful, subsequently leaving the roadway and overturning. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to tall sides. It was later removed from the scene by CJ’s Automotive & Towing. No injuries were reported. Driver was cited for PA Vehicle Code 33091 Driving On Roadways Laned For Traffic.

State Police report two teenagers were involved in a crash in the early morning hours Sunday, October 15. That’s when a 2006 Ford F250 Supercab was traveling north on Wesley Road in Colerain Township, Lancaster County at around 1:35 A.M.. The vehicle operated by LOGAN J. PITTMAN, 19 of Quarryville traveled across the south bound lane and went off the west bound shoulder striking a tree with the 12 o’clock position of the vehicle. PITTMAN’s vehicle came to final rest facing southwest approximately 10 Feet west of Wesley Road. The vehicle suffered extreme damage to the front of the vehicle. PITTMAN was suspected to have had sustained minor injury, however PITTMAN refused EMS transport by Lancaster EMS Association. State Police indicated that safety equipment was not used by PITTMAN. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as: MORGAN E. KREIDER, 18 of Peach Bottom, PA. KREIDER was also suspected to have sustained minor injury and was not transported. It is unknown as of this report if KREIDER used safety equipment. PITTMAN was charged by Pennsylvania State Police with primary violation 3802A1 Driving Under Influence of Alcohol / Controlled Substance.

On September 7, 2023 at 5:18 AM The Pennsylvania State Police, Lancaster Barracks was notified of a PFA Violation that occurred in Paradise Township, Lancaster County, PA. Troopers investigated this incident and determined that a violation occurred. Troopers have filed charges against 50 year old Male from Coatesville, PA for violating the PFA at Sadsbury Avenue, Sadsbury Township, Lancaster County, PA. The investigation is ongoing.

On August 31, 2023 at 12:15 PM Trooper Amiee Yandrisevits was waiting in line for food at the Daily Grind in Quarryville Borough, PA. At this time, Derek Baker entered the Daily Grind and asked if the police vehicle belonged to her. After relating it did, Baker proceeded to insist she shut off the vehicle while it is parked because it is his tax payer money paying for the gas. After explaining why police vehicles must remain running, Baker continued to yell and cause a scene inside the restaurant. Baker was subsequently charged with Disorderly Conduct.

On July 20, 2023 at 1:06 AM PSP Lancaster Patrol Unit initiated a traffic stop in the area of Holtwood RD, just south of Four Pines Road. Through further investigation it was determined that the operator of a 2017 Toyota Corolla,  Corrie Ann Fridinger was under the influence of alcohol, then transported to PSP Lancaster for a chemical test of breath, then subsequently released. Charges prepared and filed at MDJ 02-3-04.

On July 1, 2023 at 12:57 AM a Trooper was dispatched from the PA State Police at Lancaster, PA to the eastbound lanes of Valley Road, just eas from Pumping Station Road in Eden Township, Lancaster County PA for the report of a two vehicle crash. In commission of the is crime, the Arrestee, Walter Bowman, 40 of Christiana, Pennsylvania was in physical control of a brown Chevrolet Silverado under the influence of alcohol to a degree that rendered him incapable of safely driving causing him to crash. He was subsequently arrested for DUI.

On July 3, 2023 at 8:46 PM, State Police reported that Zachary Kerfoot, Male, 21 of Bel Air, MD attended an event in the 900 block of Lancaster Pike in Providence Township, Lancaster County. While at the event he entered an altercation with a female victim. During the altercation Zachary Kerfoot struck the victim’s phone out of her hand and shoved her. He was later apprehended by Troopers for a separate incident.

Kerfoot is charged with public drunkenness
