Accidental Death in Providence Township, Lancaster County, PA

On January 22, 2026 at 7:07 A.M. Pennsylvania State Police at Lancaster was notified of a male that was found laying on the shoulder of Beaver Valley Pike (US 222) in Providence Township, Lancaster County. The male was found near the fog line of the northbound lane and was later pronounced deceased. Troopers are investigating this incident. The male is being identified as 69 years of age, male from New Providence, Pennsylvania. A vehicle was listed as being involved, however no mention about its role was mentioned. The vehicle was identified as a Gray 2017 Nissan Altima.
