9/7/19
This is to serve as notice to the public that effective 9/9/19 all daytime talk programming has been removed from our programming schedule and will be replaced with local news content. Furthermore, WLRI will no longer schedule hour long programs. WLRI will go “all news” full-time, seven days a week starting the week of 9/9/19. No specific day or time has been set as of this notice for the transition to officially take place on or at. Listeners will hear a noticeable change in our programming and station features starting next week. Please note that our web stream will also be down until this transition has been completed. WLRI is the first and only broadcast radio station in the United States to air a: non-commercial, educational, all news format. Many resident volunteers have worked endless days and weeks to help our community radio station put this new service together. We extend our gratitude to everyone who has been a loyal listener, volunteer or supporter over the years and ask that you continue your support of non-commercial, community based, volunteer operated WLRI 93FM. Members of the public who would like to participate in the station ( in any capacity ) are urged to call us at (717) 553-WLRI (9574) – If after hours, leave a message.
Sincerely,
Christian McLaughlin
