PFBC SEEKS INPUT FROM BOAT RENTAL BUSINESSES IN EFFORT TO INCREASE CUSTOMER SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT

HARRISBURG, Pa. (October 11) — As part of an effort to increase overall boater enjoyment and safety across the Commonwealth, the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is seeking information from boat rental businesses.

The completion of this questionnaire will help the PFBC drive business to boat rental opportunities and it will help the PFBC:

• Maintain an up-to-date listing of rental opportunities
• Provide owners and customers with improved educational resources and tools
• Provide important updates throughout the year that are relevant to boat rental operations

Boat rental businesses provide opportunities for people to experience the enjoyment of recreating on the Commonwealth’s waterways without the commitment of boat ownership.  With the number of rental operations increasing in recent years, many customers are trying boating for the first time.  Rental experiences are often the gateway to boat ownership, so it’s important that initial boating experiences properly introduce customers to safe boating practices that will last a lifetime.
