King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house public plans display on Wednesday, October 2, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Gateway Church at 160 Cowan Road in Parkesburg Borough, to inform citizens about the upcoming project to reconstruct and improve a 1.7-mile section of the U.S. 30 corridor and interchanges from just west of Route 10 Interchange to just east of Old Mill Road in West Sadsbury and Sadsbury townships, Chester County.
The purpose of the open house is to present and gather public feedback on improvement alternatives for the U.S. 30 Bypass and the Route 10 interchange. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT’s design team.
In addition to reconstructing mainline U.S. 30, this project includes improving the Route 10 and Business U.S. 30 approaches and replacing and increasing vertical clearance on two bridges.
The purpose of the project is to provide a safe and efficient transportation system by improving safety, reducing future congestion, accommodating planned growth and improving facility deficiencies along the U.S. 30 corridor
Construction bids on this project are expected to open in late 2024. The project is anticipated to be funded with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state dollars.
