Here are a couple of reminders about the parade tomorrow and related concerns:
RESERVING SPACE:
If you’re planning on placing chairs, blankets, etc. along the route, you’re permitted to place these items as follows:
Areas with parking meters: 3 hours before the parade (3:30 PM)
Areas without parking meters: 5 hours before the parade (1:30 PM).
Please be courteous about this and understand if these items are placed ahead of time, they may not be there when you come back.
ROUTE:
The parade route is the same as last year (see map), North Broad Street > East Main Street > South Locust Street > East Marion Street > South Broad Street (ends at square). The parade will start at 6:30 PM.
TRAVELING:
Please plan your route and allow extra time to travel in and around town. Between the road closures, detours and increased foot and vehicle traffic, it will take longer than normal to navigate around town and some downtown roads will not be available to you.
PARKING:
Street parking is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Many local business and organization parking lots are opened to the public. Parking is also available at the Borough’s lot on North Water Street. You may find it easier to park away from downtown and walk a short distance in.
