Members of our community are encouraged to participate in helping us to clean up roads across Lancaster County and Chester County, PA. Our fist clean up is in Gap, PA along the Lincoln Highway. WLRI will start at the Gap Bypass (U.S. 30 @ PA 41) and work east to the Chester County line (Swan RD). The next day we will work west from Swan RD back to the Gap Bypass. Supplies will be provided, including gloves, visibility vests, trash bags, water etc. Lunch will be provided. Members of the public whom must complete a community service are encouraged to participate, along with anyone who wants to help clean up our community. We will meet at Gap Park to go over safety procedures and then distribute supplies to each volunteer. From there we will assemble, as a group and walk, together to the first segment of PA 41 / US 30 (where our adopted route begins). We will break every hour for 15 minutes. Water will be provided throughout the day. The event will end no later than 5:PM (unless we reach Swan RD sooner). Pennsylvania State Police will be passing by regularly for our safety and to enforce the law pertaining to our protected work zone. Please contact us thought this post or call us to register. The deadline to register is August 8, 2019 at 7:PM. Anyone who needs to be picked up should call our office to make arrangements. We’re happy to help anyone who may need assistance.
