WNUZ ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY SERVICE
Since 2002, WNUZ has embraced the tradition of doing our part to “Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful”. Accounting for nearly 30 Miles of Pennsylvania highway roadsides, WNUZ’s own volunteers observe and clear litter throughout the year. Items like tires, animals and hazardous materials are reported and removed accordingly. While a wide variety of waste found along roadside is picked up by hand and properly disposed of. WNUZ currently holds agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Embreeville, PA and Lancaster, PA authorizing WNUZ to adopt roads you travel in our community as we clean more Pennsylvania roadways. WNUZ also takes time to plant more beauty along our community’s rural routes and major highways. With generous donations from local horticultural businesses and organizations WNUZ aims to restore, or improve any Pennsylvania roadside in need of our care. Together our community is doing our part to “Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful”!
